Another Call to Prayer for Haiti
I try to make sure that I do not repeat myself too often when I write blogs for All Things New. There are times, however, that repetition is necessary and important for our kids and for our ministry. Today is one of those days. Haiti is a wreck. There are roadblocks throughout Port Au Prince and people are having to stay indoors. There is a group of people still wanting the President removed and another group of people who are going to fight for the President. In the last few days there was a fire in the airport that shut it down, a Senator fired 2 gunshots during a protest that injured 2 people, and Haiti’s President cancelled his trip to speak at the UN so that he could stay in country and protect his position.
The bottom line is that things are not good right now and the country needs your prayers. Our kids and employees are safe for now, but the roadblocks and riots have made their way to Gressier and Leogane (the 2 cities closest to ATN). The Haitian Gourde continues to devalue, food continues to become more and more expensive, and schools have been shut down really since the first day. I could go on, but I want to stop here with the point of this blog:
Please Join Us in Prayer!
Pray for Haiti, pray for our kids and employees, pray for our family, and pray that GOD would intervene in this situation…Whatever that may look like. Thank you for your continued prayers and support during this time. The truth is, the more difficult things get, the more we need you behind us. We will do our best to keep you updated with the situation, and we will continue to pray for peace and calm with you.
