ATN 2018: A Taste of Haiti (Jacksonville Fundraiser)
One of the best ways that you could partner with All Things New in 2018 is by attending our Jacksonville Fundraiser. The first thing I want to say about this event is that it is going to be a blast. We are going to celebrate with a Haitian festival including Haitian food, entertainment, a live auction, and a silent auction. I really hope everyone in Jacksonville can make it out to this event on March 2 at 6:30 at Deerwood Country Club. If you want more information or you would like to register to attend the event, please click here. Also, if you have an item that you would like to donate to be auctioned off at the event please let us know that as well.
Not only will this event be fun, it is also one of the most important events of the year for All Things New (along with our LaGrange Fundraiser which I will highlight as it grows closer). Without a successful fundraiser over the past few years, who knows what All Things New would look like right now, and this year we are hoping to expand our ministry even further. As our kids begin to age out into an almost non-existent job market, we want to be able assist them in starting sustainable businesses. In the past 2 weeks, we have been asked by the parents of at least 20 children if their kids could come and live at All Things New and we have brought 1 new child (to read Tilene’s story click here) into the ATN family. This is an absolutely terrible situation. When a parent has to come to us and tell us that there is nothing they can do to take care of their children and it would be better for them to be put into a children’s home where at least their basic needs would be provided and they would be able to attend school. We want a better alternative for the families in our area, a chance to find employment that would give them the opportunity to keep their children in their own home. We want to be able to partner with churches and begin discipleship programs that will allow fellow believers in Christ to move past the initial stage of belief in Christ and really begin to study the Word of GOD.
These are some of some of our big dreams along with continuing to care for the children that live with us, and these dreams can only be reached with your help. We know that GOD is in control and can accomplish anything He wants, and we are grateful that He has chosen you to be His instruments as we strive to do ministry down here in Haiti. This fundraiser is exactly 1 month from today and we hope that everyone who is reading this will click on this link, register for “A Taste of Haiti” and partner with All Things New in ministry. Thank you in advance, and trust me when I say that this will be a wonderful night that you do not want to miss!
