ATN Year End Letter
Many of you will receive this in your email, but just in case you do not, I wanted to post the All Things New year-end letter in blog form as well. Please note that tax summaries for 2020 will be sent out via email tomorrow and you should receive mailed forms out by the end of the week if we do not have an email address on file. Please look for and email from "Kindful Support" and open it to view your giving statement from 2020. Also, please note that if you gave through Facebook then your tax receipt was given to you by Facebook at the time of the gift, but you can contact us to get a record of that if needed. Here is the letter that was sent:
Dear All Things New Supporter:
2020 was one of the strangest and most difficult years most of us can remember. For those of us in America and most places around the world, Covid has changed much of how we live and think. Many people have lost jobs, homes and, sadly, family and friends. In the midst of it all we are so grateful that you continue to support the children of All Things New (ATN).
Circumstances in Haiti have been equally difficult but for different reasons. Because of Covid, we asked the majority of our employees to stay home for about two months. Thankfully, Haiti hasn’t been as impacted by the virus as most other nations. The major problem in Haiti, however, continues to be the ongoing political and social upheaval that shows no signs of lessening. Because of these conditions we have been unable to bring a team down since January 2019, and we and our kids sorely miss having you visit Haiti.
The good news is God is eternally good and He is still in control. In fact, our kids are doing as well or better than ever. Every one of our kids passed their grades in school last year, a feat of which we are so very proud. Repeat….Every one! Our kids are growing, happy and doing as well as can be expected in Haiti.
A wonderful blessing is our first three computer coders finished their training. As a result, our first coder, Makenson, has been hired for his first job at a local church in Jacksonville! The ATN kids are in English class now so when our “coder” program is up and running it could be a significant game-changer for our ministry, our kids and our Haitian community.
While so many businesses and ministries were devasted in 2020, thanks to supporters like you ATN was able to stay afloat. There were certainly struggles, difficult decisions and separation anxiety because of our inability to get to Haiti. But it was not devastating. Our kids had food, shelter, loving caretakers and a safe place to live; our employees were paid on time every single month; and, ATN continues to push forward with important job-creation initiatives.
All thanks goes to our supporters and all glory goes to God. Speaking of God, we can’t wait to see what great things He has in store for ATN and our kids in 2021. Thank you so very much.
In Christ,
Matt and Jessica Bush
