Our First Big Fundraiser
We have our first big fundraiser this coming Saturday for All Things New, and it is going to be awesome! If you haven’t heard about it, it is this Saturday (March 1) at 5:00 pm and will take place at Jacksonville Country Day School. We have some incredible food and a lot of great auction items available for bidding. Send me an email if you live in the Jacksonville area and are interested in coming, it is $50/person or $75/couple.
There has been a committee of people working on this, led by Phil and Jill Atter (Jessica’s parents), and they have worked so hard to make this a success. I could not even begin to describe the hours and work that has gone into this work. The main reason that I could not describe it is because Jessica and I have not been very involved in the planning of the event. How great is that? We are at the point right now when there are enough people who are completely behind the vision and ministry of All Things New that they are putting on a large-scale fundraiser for us that we have not really been a part of planning. I wish I could describe how wonderful that is, but unless you have attempted something like this it is hard to explain. There is always so much to do, so many things to worry about, and there just doesn’t always seem to be enough time in the day. When you add to that the fact that we are back and forth from Haiti so often now, it could get overwhelming. Here is the good news – it is not overwhelming. We have so much help and so much support it is unbelievable. There are many people who now consider All Things New “their ministry,” and they really feel like God is leading them to be a part of His work in Haiti, and it just shows GOD’s hand on All Things New.
I just wanted to let you know how great this event is going to be, ask for your prayers for Saturday night, and say thank you to each of you who consider All Things New a ministry that GOD is calling you to be a part of. Please stay tuned to see all of the wonderful things that GOD is going to do in and through All Things New, and look for a blog early next week to find out about the success of our first big fundraiser.
