Why Start a Blog/Hoping GOD will Speak

I don’t know how many of the people who will read this have ever started trying to write a blog.  I want to tell you what the hardest part of starting this is…The thought that someone would actually want to read what you write.  At times this seems like such arrogance that I am writing something, posting it online, and then expecting people to read what I am writing.  Don’t get me wrong, I really appreciate your interest in what GOD is doing in our lives, and in that way, I am very thankful that anyone would read this, it is just so difficult to decide what to write and when to write it.

But here is the thing, we will be posting what GOD lays on our hearts.  Things like updates about the orphanage, verses that GOD uses to speak to us, and most of all we will tell the story of how GOD is working through this ministry in Haiti.  I for one cannot wait, and I am so thankful that people like you would read this to follow up on how GOD is working.  Please know that this is the purpose of this page – to show how GOD is working.  We do not want to lift ourselves up or get a huge following just so we can say people come to our page.  We want this page to glorify GOD!  We want GOD to speak to His people through this blog.  We just want to be used by Him in whatever way He sees fit.  He has laid this ministry on our heart, and has shown us the needs of orphans around the world.  If GOD uses this page to open up 1 set of eyes to the needs of orphans around the world, it is worth it.  If GOD uses this page to save the life of 1 child and to bring that child into a family, it is worth it.  If GOD uses this page to change the eternity of just 1 person, then it is worth it.

That is the goal of our lives – to bring glory to GOD, to be used by GOD, and to fulfill the Great Commission of GOD.  I hope that is what comes out from this blog, from this ministry, and most importantly from our lives.  We are nothing without Him, and I pray that we never do anything apart from His calling and His will.
