My friend Lener sent me a message yesterday that simply said, "Matt the life is very difficult in haiti without Jesus, only Jesus who can protect us. Please pray for us."

Thank you to everyone reading this that allows our kids some "normalcy." We definitely could not do it without you. At the same time, let's continue to do everything that we can so that every kid, in every country, including our own, can complain about how their food tastes and ask someone that they love for a new toy or a new pair of shoes.

Pray specifically for our kids and employees. Being a part of an American organization could very well put a target on your back in Haiti, and we are praying that everyone connected to ATN stays safe and protected. Also pray for continued wisdom as we try to navigate this new era of social and political unrest and what may happen to the school year again if things continue to worsen.

Many of you will receive this in your email, but just in case you do not, I wanted to post our year-end letter in blog form as well. Please note that tax summaries for 2020 will be sent out via email tomorrow and you should receive mailed forms out by the end of the week if we do not have an email address on file. Please look for and email from "Kindful Support" and open it to view your giving statement from 2020. Also, please note that if you gave through Facebook then your tax receipt was given to you by Facebook at the time of the gift, but you can contact us to get a record of that if needed. 

When Tragedy Strikes in Haiti...You Lose Everything...The End.

Nobody has insurance. Most people's family and friends are as poor as they are. And the government is certainly not going to help anyone except for themselves and their own family.

When tragedy strikes you lose everything, and make no mistake, tragedy is striking right now.

I say all of that to say that now that the Covid-19 fears in Haiti are subsiding and life is getting back to normal, there is a new social and political threat. Please join me in praying that it is nothing more than that...A threat.
